About

Kingston AreaCouncil

of the Public Service Alliance of Canada

The Area Council is a democratic forum for members from different Locals/Branches of Components within the Public Service Alliance.

We are governed by our own By-Laws and the Constitution of the Public Service Alliance of Canada and led by an executive, consisting of a President, Treasurer, Vice President, 2nd Vice President and Secretary who are elected by members from our affiliated Locals/Branches for 2 year terms.

Our activities include political actions, support for Locals of the PSAC as well as other Labour organizations; lobbying of MPs and MPPs; Labour Day activities; social justice, strike support and much more.

We meet on the second Thursday of every second month for general meetings, or more frequent if certain actions or campaigns call for special meetings.

The area covered by the Kingston Area Council encompasses an area bordered by Brockville, Kingston, Colborne, Kawarthas, Smith Falls to just below the NCR.

Due to this great geographical spread we are alternating the location for our meetings between Kingston, (Regional Office of the PSAC) and the Trenton/Belleville area (CFB Trenton or Federation House); times and locations can be found under the Events tab.

looking forward seeing you at our next meeting.
