The number of women who have experienced violence is incomprehensible.  Each year the number of women that fall victim to violence grows and that is needless and unacceptable.  Most people know someone who has been a victim of violence whether they know it or not.  If you work in an office with 3-4 other women chances are one of you has been the victim of violence at one time or another.

The theme this year was Reach, Mobilize and Get Involved.It was a wonderful experience to be surrounded by such committed, professional women who really want to make our world just a little bit better for everyone.In addition to a very productive and enlightening conference we strived to give back a little to our community, we raised $760 for the Dec 6 Fund, over $200 for adopt a family, and we had a 50/50 draw with the proceeds going to Barriere Lake, half of the money was $170 and the sister that won generously donated her winnings back making a total contribution of $340 to Barriere Lake

Liberal finance critic Scott Brison: “stomach-turning to see the Conservatives waste this much money on self-promoting ads..."

I don't know how many jobs could be created with 78.5 million dollars, what I do know is that Canadians need jobs much more than they need to hear government advertising.
